Wolfthorn Exploration Demo 1.10


Hello everyone! We're finally back with another devlog for Wolfthorn after some small delays and lots, and lots of hard work. For those who aren't aware, I was very sick this past week, so that had set me behind a bit since last log. Good news, is we're now back full-swing and I'm ecstatic to share this new update with you, and many more to come amongst these next months. Livestreams, video devlogs and so on are also expected to return very soon via my Twitch and YouTube channel as well, so have a look out for those too! Enjoy, and happy Friday everyone!

Patch Details:

  • Fixed "double clubs" appearance on some giants.
  • Fixed the Race Menu getting stuck upon closing a second time.
  • Fixed weird collision getting arrows stuck and FX stuck near the town lake in the Marrlands.
  • Patched random Teleporter in Marrlands brings you to death loop (near world border).
  • Corrected some UI elements.
  • Fixed dialogue buttons still clickable after trading with NPC.
  • Punching no longer has the same FX / hit impacts as weapons.
  • Corrected Main Menus film grain control.
  • And many more general fixes, patches + tweaks.

Update Details:

  • The Marrlands has been expanded. As the game continues to develop in areas I'd like to focus working up to Steam Early Access these next months, I'm happy to say the worlds are growing vastly, I'm learning so much and I'm becoming proud of the way they're coming along. With this update, the Marrlands have been expanded and built upon more, with much space left for future additions, both free and paid, when the time is right.
  • Vascany (The Ardenlands) and Zythil have also received some overhauls, as well as updates and additions. 
  • The Player hub is now accessible once again, but this time, currently in the form of what will become a sort of "player home" for you, sort of temporary, but we'll see if it sticks or not. 
  • Memory has been optimized greatly. 
  • Performance has been improved in a good amount of areas across the board.
  • The game now utilizes proper loading screens in between world transitions.
  • Backdrops, Mountainscapes and detail scenery has been overhauled greatly for all three worldspaces.
  • All three worldspaces now make proper use of World Composition. This will improve as time goes on as well, but I am happy to say it is already much better for the game as a whole once again.
  • Hitting the ground now has a different impact as well as FX than hitting hard surfaces that cause metal sparks.
  • The current build version is now displayed properly in the main menus.
  • Bushes now also have proper collision in Zythil, as well as Vascany.
  • Cursed locations now grant a random amount of XP within a range when destroyed.
  • Setting for Kuwahara effect has been added for those who wish to make their game look like a painting.
  • Additionally; graphics presets are now possible inside of Wolfthorn. It's sort of like built in ENB overlays except you do it all in game, via the graphics settings tab in the options menu. Currently, there are four available to choose from. 
  • Implemented a setting for motion blur in the options menus.
  • Map delay is now slower when closing.
  • And much more to come!
