Wolfthorn Itch.io Release - Version 7


Version 7 has just been pushed to itch.io and here's what we got for our fourth dev log here!

Minor Changes:

  • Updated Mode Selection Menus, (removed horde button from menu so everything is in the hub - for ease of development and play)
  • Several general bug and performance fixes.
  • Updated several hint actors, plus added many more around the hub and tutorial maps.
  • Updated a good amount of keybinds to fit the updated, current game state.
  • Added more general music tracks to the game.
  • Fixed XP being recieved when the player didn't kill the enemy, but the AI did. (Player only XP)
  • Also fixed a lot of warnings on the last build, so optimization should have been shadowed over all that as well.
  • Added several new hints in the loading screen.
  • Fixed AI loot pickups (items and weapon pickups) by expanding the trigger a bit further to allow proper interaction.
  • Imported several new UI textures for use later on in the game.
  • Fixed animal AI being able to damage player even after death on ragdoll.

Major Changes:

  • Quest System / Objectives update: This adds a brand new system of general open-world questing to the game, therefore establishing a ground framework for much more, and what is to come in the near future! (Press TAB in-game to access menus - acts like a second inventory and quest log)
  • Added a minimap (WIP)!
  • The over all HUD of both the sandbox and horde mode UI has been completely revamped! 
  • Further expanded the tutorial map, now also known as Amon Cypher, and added much more to test the new questing system out a tad before tomorrow's update.
  • Migrated new systems to be implemented fully soon.

And....that's most of it I believe, although there was more, those are the highlights for this log!
