PowerGlove - Version 1.01


Hey everyone! The jam has concluded officially, and I'm now excited to say I'll be pursuing development on this title fully alongside my other works and titles due for release, and I just can't wait to see where this journey goes.

Update 1.01 has just been released of Powerglove, and it contains a good bit of quality of life improvements, fixes and additions to kick things back off. One of the issues was pretty massive and that has been addressed as well, which you can find more information about below in the changelog.

Changelog:

  • Fixed spawned child actor destruction not properly destroying after level tile removal. This caused a number of issues and completely destroyed performance, thankfully I was able to fix this by tweaking the kill z for the AI (which was causing controller error due to so many being spawned), and setting life spans on pick ups.
  • Added a black fade-to screen when player is killed or destroyed by falling.
  • Added a fade from black screen when the game starts.
  • Added some first left corner tiles.
  • Added cyber narrator (Sloane) which is currently just a placeholder, but I thought it worked for now.
  • Improved AI accuracy and aiming.
  • Added female enemy variation for base (handgun) soldier.
  • Created new enemy type: The Kommandas (Kommander)
  • Implemented Nvidia Ansel support (beta).
  • Added mouse sensitivity options (beta).
  • Slightly altered look of default player character placeholder.
  • Fixed any other bugs that may arose or became noticeable after the jam.
  • All other changes that were added to the planned release list on itch.io.
